Air Spray (Conventional)- Paint Spray Guns

Paint is applied to the part by pneumatic fluid atomization at higher air pressures (50-60 psi). Air spray guns come in a variety configurations; siphon feed, gravity feed, and pressure feed. This type of spray gun is most commonly used for industrial finishing. The technology is the most widely used finishing method. Referred to as an automotive finish or Class A finish. Easy to use, flexible and provides the finest finish quality and the lowest transfer efficiency.

  • Advantages: Complete pattern control. Finest atomization. Good for high production rate applications.
  • Limitations: Uses more air. Creates the most fog. Low transfer efficiency.
